Welcome to the Beach House!  This gorgeous 4- bedroom, 3- bath, Westside home has everything one could need for a memorable getaway. Sitting just two lots from West Cliff Drive with a reverse floor plan, one can relax and enjoy the views and sounds of the ocean while avoiding the "fish bowl" effect of all the folks on West Cliff. Because of the reverse floor plan, the views from the upstairs living room windows and upstairs deck are breathtaking.
     Downstairs boasts 1 master bedroom with a king sized bed and furniture from Spain. It has a private bathroom with a resort style jetted bathtub.  There is also a single rollaway bed in the closet.  In this bedroom, one can open the slider and step out to the front patio and enjoy ocean views while sitting around a gas fire-pit table. Downstairs there are two more coastal-styled bedrooms. One bedroom has a king sized bed with views of the backyard and hot tub. The other bedroom has two twin extra-long beds on gray, reclaimed wood frames. Upstairs is a French Country master suite with a king sized bed and comfy queen sized sleeper sofa. All beds have Company Store down comforters, and quilts or coverlets from Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn. There are TV's in both master bedrooms, and the great room, of course.
     Upstairs in the great room, we have plenty of sitting for all our guests. There are more then enough comfy throw blankets for the whole family to be able to get cozy on the velvet down couch next to the warm electric fireplace. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at the two-seater bistro table with ocean views or a glass of wine at the full service bar.  If you want to be outside with corridor  ocean views, enjoy the ample seating on the upstairs deck.  The kitchen is a fully stocked chef's dream: high-end appliances, sharp J.K. Henkel knives, pots and pans of various types, spices, utensils and kitchen implements galore. There is a propane BBQ just outside the kitchen on the upstairs deck as well.
     The outdoor spaces are a treat!  Not only do you have the fireplace on the front patio and upstairs deck for gathering, but there is also the rejuvenating Hot springs Spa in the back yard with therapy jets. There is a single car garage in the back for parking and plenty of street parking. There is also a remote controlled rolling gate to allow for separate access in/out of the home.
     This home on the Westside is perfect for exploring all West Cliff has to offer!  Enjoy our famous surf spots like Steamer Lane or explore the tide pools at Natural Bridges State Beach.  Lighthouse Field offers a 3.2 mile stroll or bike ride. West Cliff is full of  Brown Pelicans, dolphins, sea lions, whales, sea otters, and cormorants, just to name a few. There is even a little beach to climb down to at the end of our street.  We also love to ride our bikes to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and enjoy the rides and free Friday night concerts.
     You may also enjoy walking or driving to the Swift Street Courtyard area for wine tasting, diner, or yoga. Try Bantam or West End Tap. Need a natural foods market? New Leaf Market is close too. Better yet, the Westside Farmer's Market on Saturday morning is a lively place for fresh produce.  
     Maybe you'd rather hop in the car and drive up Highway One toward Half Moon Bay!  This is one of the most beautiful drives in California! Davenport is about 14 miles north on Highway One with some good eats and beaches.  Or head south on Highway One to our neighboring beach towns, like Capitola.
     Oh, and did I mention this is a great home for visiting a UCSC student or attending a lecture? Downtown is as close as a bike ride as well.
     We love our beach home and hope you do as well. Maybe you'll get a full moon during your stay, and it will be one of the nights you can see it sparkle on the sea in front of the house.
